                   Making people smile is everything.

In my young Authors club, I have about twenty middle school students who are writing novels, poems, short stories, and more. Like me, they love to write and share their stories.

We have a collection of real life, science fiction horror, mystery, and fantasy.

I tell my young authors that they should always write what they love and never focus on the money aspect. Thinking about money will compromise your work and weaken the message you are trying to convey. Soon, I will be posting some of their work here. If you want to join our Young Authors club, we’d love to have you.

Untitled

By Mathew Combs

Deep within the recesses of my mind, lies a horror from my past. Far behind my dreams and fears, back into my younger years. A single moment that brought me back down to the world when I was at the top of it all. A morning I will never forget, but don't want to remember. *~A moment is all it takes~

                    Saydra  McCray-Lockman
Fly away I said once I learn to fly, I won't be coming back. I'll head out to the blue, blue, sky. Where I can be free. But do I have the strength? To just leave you there, hanging in sadness? As you watch me fly away. People may gawk, they may stare. They may be angry. But I am a six-year-old, Who will be hurt, no longer. CHILD ABUSE IS WRONG. STOP IT.

    No Turning  Back
by   Sabrina Simpson
You take a step
You take a leap
 The long road curves
The hill is steep

 The windmill spins
 The pages turn
The children grow
The students learn

 So many days
 In all our lives
Some people fight
Just to survive

Where there's mistakes
There are amends
The journey's long
 But it never ends

And when we think
And face the facts
We notice there's
No turning back

Dear life is short
 So we continue
To look for answers
 And they are in you

So when you're lost
Just look ahead
 The future lives
The past is dead

 Keep moving on
And you will see
That life itself
Is fantasy
Because we laugh
 And cry and love
And when we die
We fly above
No time to think
Just wisely act
'Til time runs out
No turning back
 Gloomy Skies:
By
Jennifer Ricano

I look outside my window,
The glass is slightly foggy.
Clouds obscure the sun,
And it looks ready to pour.

The gloomy skies make everything seem,
Brighter and more colorful.
Gloomy skies make most people sad,
But it makes me see more than ever before.

They open my mind,
And make me want to fly.
I wish that I could see,
How they feel about me.

Gloomy skies are just misunderstood,
They're rebellious and adventurous.
They make me feel comfortable,
They make me appreciate life.

Gloomy skies,
Most people think they're meaningless.
They are wrong.
Because gloomy skies mean everything,
To me.

Friends Forever

by Priscilla Gonzalez
My friend you are
my friend you'll be
my friend for all eternity

If your up
or if your down
I’m always there
just turn around!

I AM

by Priscilla Gonzalez

I am Sadie Kane
Egyptian magician
I am a sister
To a warrior brother
I am a pet owner
To a cat with many secrets
I am a royal
With Pharaoh blood running through my veins
I am a host
Supporting a goddess
I am a prisoner
To a world I never wished to be a part of
I am fighting
A war I will probably lose
I am torn
Between two my family and my destiny
I am in control
I will choose and either save or destroy the world
I am Sadie
Who are you?
